Peter Wu

Senior Pastor

Rev. Peter Wu was born in Macao, and emigrated to Taiwan with his family when he was 13. He became a Christian while studying at the National Cheng-Kung University in Tainan, Taiwan, where he earned his BSc and MSc degrees in Chemical Engineering.

Entering the workforce, Rev. Wu worked as a Senior Engineer in the R&D department for Philips. After he received God’s calling to the ministry, Rev. Wu received theological training at the China Theological Seminary in Taipei, Singapore Bible College, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and Westminster Theological Seminary, where he received his PhD in Hermeneutics.

Rev. Wu has pastored churches in Taiwan and the US and taught full-time at Singapore Bible College. He returned to Taiwan in July, 2018 and is the Senior Pastor of Grace Baptist Church since then.

Rev. Wu is married to Cindy and they have a son, Joshua, who is married to Christina Bezon. Joshua and Christina have one daughter and one son.

David Kong

Assistant Senior Pastor

Rev. David Kong reminds himself, “Serving the Lord with experience; Loving God with simple hearts” as his ministry philosophy. He graduated from Singapore Bible College and started serving at GBC in May 1997. Pastor’s wife, Mei-Hui Yang, is responsible for Asaph Choir, paring with the organ pianist.

Nick Brideson

English Leading Pastor

Rev. Nick Brideson comes from Australia where he worked as an engineer, but he came to Taiwan and was baptized at Grace Baptist Church in June 2000. He went from serving as a volunteer in the church to serving as a minister with the English Congregation. He was ordained at Grace Baptist Church on 1 September 2013 and now serves as English Congregation Pastor.

Priscialla Liao

English Minister

Priscilla was born and grew up in Taiwan. She was baptized at Grace Baptist Church in 1998. She later served as the English congregation secretary at GBC for nine years before God called her to study in Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (Louisville Kentucky) where she graduated in December of 2017 with a Master of Divinity in Biblical and Theological Studies. She is interested in Women’s Ministry, Small Groups, Counseling and Missions.

Kevin Wang

English Pastor

Kevin was born and raised in Texas. He worked in Taipei for several years before going to study at Westminster Seminary California and the Institute of Reformed Baptist Studies (IRBS), where he received his Masters of Divinity in 2018. He is married to Yi-Ling.

SueJenny Hsu

English Secretary

SueJenny Hsu served as a part-time secretary at GBC for four and a half years before becoming the full-time secretary in March 2012. She is grateful for the Bible which helps her to walk, learn and grow in the Christian life.

Stella Chen

English and Bilingual Part-time Secretary

Thanks God for He gave me the opportunity to serve from March 2019 to March 2021/3 as a part-time secretary for the English Congregation. From March 2022, I started working as a part-time secretary for both the Bilingual and English Congregations on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Pray that God guide me to follow Him daily and serve Him faithfully.

Henson Huang

Pastor

Pastor Henson graduated from Taiwan Baptist Theological Seminary and came to GBC for full-time ministry in September 2011 and ordained as a pastor on May 7, 2016. Henson’s burden is to lead the youth of this generation to the Lord and to train them to be disciples of Jesus and witnesses to the world! Henson married 張意才 with one son.

Tsen-Jeb Wy (by appointment)

Rev. Tsen-Jen Wu gradudated from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and started serving at GBC in July 2007. His passion in ministry is Bible study book-by-book, expository preaching, discipleship, and equipping co-workers for Great Commission. Rev. Wu married Sister Tsai with one son.

Jarod Davis

Pastor

Pastor Jarod Davis grew up in Houston, Texas. He graduated with honors from Texas A&M and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and is studying both Gateway Baptist Theological Seminary in the USA and D. Min. program in Taiwan Baptist Theological Seminary.

He had been an architect and a pastor back in Texas. God called him and his wife, Jennifer Davis to East Asia in 2003. Against all odds and experienceing significant pain, setbacks and successes while on the field, they were able to fund their own church in the Creative Land. After they had been serving for 12 years, they moved to Taiwan and Pastor Davis now is in charge of the world-wide baptists’ missions for Chinese speaking community.

Pastor David and his wife were both grown up and married in Houston, Texas. They had been married for 20 years. God also blessed them with 3 children with the ages now 12, 10 and 6.

Charlene Chang

Minister

Minister Charlene graduated from Taiwan Baptist Theological Seminary in 1978 and joined GBC in 1979. She graduated with Doctor of Education Degree (Ed.D.) in Counseling from Texas Tech University in 1988 and came back to Taiwan to serve in NCTU, NTHU, and Yang-Ming University and part-time in GBC for education-training. In 2002, she resigned the part-time minister job and became a deacon serving various ministries at GBC with joyful serving heart! In 2014 August, she became full-time minister, hoping to nurture more missionaries for God’s Kingdom. “Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes.” – Isaiah 54:2

Lydia Liang

Minister

Minister Lydia graduated from Chinese Evangelical Seminary after many years of working experience and encouragement from Jian Kang Road Baptist Church in Tainan. She is constantly reminded by the Bible verses in Deuteronomy 2:25b, “Your strength will equal your day.” and in Psalm 23:1, “The LORD is my shepherd, and I shall not be in want.”

Yalin Tseng

Minister

Minister Yalin Tseng graduated from Taiwan Baptist Theological Seminary with Master of Divinity in 1992 and started serving at GBC in September 2015. Her goal is to encourage and train women to be the daughters of God as Titus 2:3-5 said. Also, she wants to build up children ministry through “Family basis”, and let “God, Family and Church” to be the foundation of children’s spiritual growth. She has two daughters with Pastor Liu, Kwang-Chi.

Chuh-Sien Lin

Teacher (by appointment)

Lin Chu-Hsien, a Cantonese born in Taiwan.

Impacted by her mother, Lin first came to Grace when she was 9. She served in the Children’s Choir, Youth Choir, and now still serving with the Heman Adult Choir. She also received abundant life equipment and training in Youth and College BTUs. In her first year of Senior High, she started to join the mission trips to Green Island and preach the gospel for the Lord.

After her graduation from the Department of Music, she served as a Worship Minister in Grace for 6 years. She went to the States for further education and returned with a Master of Choral Conductor in N.J. Rutgers University. She devoted herself in teaching after returning Taiwan and teaches in Taipei National University of the Arts and Soochow University. Praise the Lord for His guidance and protection that Lin returned to the service team of Grace. She considered this opportunity to serve her “home” the most beautiful things in her life. May she walk in the light of the Lord and will not depart from it all her life.

Hsiao-Yen Shen

Sister Hsiao-Yen graduated from Ming Chuan College of Business. She was baptized in GBC in 1985. She is single. Her goal for ministry is to imitate Moses as God’s servant, “Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s house, testifying to what would be said in the future.” -Hebrews 3:5

Grace Liu

Sister

Grace graduated from National Taichung University of Science and Technology. She learns to trust in God again after professional career and life changing. During the mission conference this year, the pastor called, “harvests are plenty and workers are few. God’s Word touches your heart and do not put out the Spirit’s fire.” She was touched inexplicably and walked to the front of the pulpit, responding God’s calling. Thank God for listening to her prayers for 10 years, leading her out of the valley of shadow of death. Through the hardship, she can start over again to know Him and to praise Him. She believes this calling and election are from God.
